Road Trip USA
We are studying U.S. Geography this year with our Home School Co-op and I found a great curriculum to help us, "Road Trip USA" from Confessions of a Homeschooler. We have really enjoyed the few states we've already learned about. One of our favorite things while studying Delaware, was learning about the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Opening in 1951, it is the longest twin suspension bridge in the world. I stretches 13,200 feet to connect Delaware and New Jersey. Due to the high traffic volume a nearly identical second span was completed in 1968 which parallels the original bridge making eight lanes of roadway. Over 80,000 cars travel over the bridge daily. We had so much fun building our own replica.

We are doing Road Trip USA also and will be tackling this project next week. Is it as hard as it looks? How long did it take you to put the whole thing together?
